IAONZ Board Members
The following are our current board members

Stu Henwood - IAONZ President
Stu is New Zealand Manager of Tasman Insulation NZ (TINZ) and current President of IAONZ. TINZ is the only glasswool insulation manufacturer in New Zealand (Pink® Batts®) and have a national network of installers under the PinkFit® brand.
Stu has held senior management roles within the building industry for 10+ years, along with being Chairman of the CPAA (NZ division). He has a Bachelor and Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Science from Massey University and an MBA from Victoria University of Wellington.
An IAONZ committee member since 2015, Stu is passionate about ensuring the Association drives agreed quality standards for both product and installation, along with improving industry safety through continued training and education.

Paul Brockie
Paul is currently Managing Director of AbsoluteEnergy Ltd, an insulation company started in 2002 after Paul noted a gap in the market for giving different insulation choices for retrofit insulation and new home insulation.
Since its inception AbsoluteEnergy has been heavily involved in local Council schemes and also the Government EECA scheme. Paul is passionate about the insulation industry and the quality of products and services provided within the industry.
Paul is also Managing Director of Brockie Renovations an Award Winning building company with a focus on high end quality renovations in the Nelson area.
While both these companies keep Paul busy, he still finds time for his other passion of following his son Jeremy’s successful football career.

Paul Hansen
Paul is ‘Healthy Homes Tai Tokerau’ (HHTT) Retrofit Manager.
Paul oversees the technical and quality side of the programme, and also is a key external relationship manager.
In July of 2013 HHTT celebrated the retro fitting of insulation into 5000 homes of low income and high health needs whanau within their district from Cape Reinga to Kaiwaka. HHTT have now competed over 7000 retrofits in total since 2008
Paul has been in this role with HHTT since 2008.
Prior to this role Paul and his wife successfully managed their own insulation business in the Northland region for over five years with a focus on the new build and commercial sector.

Wade Maurice
Wade Maurice is Managing Director of Safe-R Insulation. Wade has been associated with Safe-R Insulation since 2008 and has been in his current role since 2011. During his time with Safe-R, the company has developed into a provider of specialised insulation systems. It now supports a nation wide distribution network of insulation businesses, supplying them various products, technical expertise and sales support. Wade has spent most of his working life in the construction industry in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He has a Bachelor of Business degree (Finance) from Massey University. Wade believes the insulation industry needs IAONZ to continue operating past the EECA funded era, so it can provide a voice for all associates in the insulation industry. 2015 is his first year on the IAONZ board.

Graeme Baker
Graeme is the Managing Director of Insulation Solutions Ltd a Christchurch Based company. Day to day he currently manages a joint venture, Absolute Energy Insulation Solutions Ltd.
With a background of over 16 years in the insulation industry, he has a wide range of experiences across insulation and has worked around New Zealand setting up teams and equipping them to deliver successful insulation projects. Central to this success has been as a member of senior management teams and providing a link right through to those working at the frontline.
Alongside this has been a wider interest and involvement in energy efficiency of which insulation is a key component.
Graeme was a founding board member of IAONZ and was involved in the group that developed the IAONZ training programme. After several years break he has come back on to the board. A key motivation for becoming involved again is to be part of IAONZ as the industry finally moves beyond being focused on a government scheme to become a representative of the wider insulation industry.

Daniel Szczepański
Daniel is National Sales Manager at Autex Industries Ltd. a privately owned NZ manufacturing company with a global reach. Autex specialize in designing, developing and manufacturing quality, market leading insulation and acoustic products for the commercial and residential building sector.
Daniel has worked in the construction sectors since 2007 and has been with Autex for 7 years and an IAONZ committee member since 2015.
Recently Daniel served as a technical expert on the Standards committee for NZS 4246:2016, he has a passion for the industry and recognises the important role IAONZ plays in supporting its industry and members.
