Nick Hall | President

Nick has been involved in the insulation sector since 2008.  His involvement includes manufacturing, importing and distribution of insulation products, as well as installation for retrofit (including EECA), new residential, and commercial construction projects.  Having sold his insulation and energy efficiency business in early 2025, he brings independent and direct sector leadership to raise installation quality, modernise training, and to ensure the association is recognised as a key part of New Zealand’s building-performance future. His focus is on creating real value for members by supporting excellence in practice and leading the sector with clarity and purpose.

Chris Kenny | General Manager of CSR Building Products NZ

Chris has worked in the insulation industry for over 20 years, gaining extensive experience across manufacturing, sales, marketing, and executive leadership.  He currently leads CSR Building Products and Potters Interior Systems in New Zealand, giving him a broad perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing the building industry.

In addition to his insulation experience, he serves as an Executive member of the Building Industry Federation (BIF) and is actively involved with the Brick and Paver Industry Association.  These roles provide Chris with exposure to industry advocacy, regulation, market trends, and collaboration across multiple building sectors.

Sumaria Beaton | General Manager & Owner of Awarua Synergy

Sumaria Beaton-Sikisini is the General Manager and Owner of Awarua Synergy in Southland and has over 21 years experience in the energy efficiency and insulation sector.  She is passionate about reducing energy hardship, improving healthy homes outcomes, and strengthening the insulation industry’s contribution to New Zealand’s energy future. 

Through her work with communities, government stakeholders, and industry partners, she advocates for practical, customer focused-solutions that deliver warmer, healthier, and more energy-efficient homes.  Sumaria is committed to supporting a strong, collaborative, and forward looking IAONZ that represents the interests of members nationwide.

Anthony Stone | General Manager of Comfortech Building Performance Solutions

Anthony is in his eighth year as General Manager of Comfortech Building Solutions® formed from the merger of Tasman Insulation (Pink®Batts®, PinkFit®) and Forman Building Systems.  He is committed to advancing building performance and supporting the industry’s wider energy-efficiency objectives.  As a current IAONZ Executive member, he works constructively to uphold sector credibility and support member businesses.  Anthony is focused on ensuring IAONZ continues to lobby government on key issues and advocate for professional manufacturers and installers who deliver code-compliant insulation services, ensuring customers receive the quality and assurance they expect.  

Wade Maurice | General Manager of Safe-R Insulation

Wade Maurice is General Manager of Safe-R Insulation and has worked in the New Zealand insulation industry for more than 18 years.   Former IAONZ President and currently serving as Interim President, he has been a strong advocate for raising industry standards, improving installer training, and promoting quality assurance. 

Wade has worked closely with government, industry organisations, and manufacturers to advance best practice and support sustainable growth in the sector.  He is passionate about collaboration, innovation, and ensuring the insulation sector continues to deliver better outcomes for New Zealand homes and businesses.

Katy Stark | CEO, Director and Co-owner of Inzone Industry Holdings Ltd

Katy Stark is the CEO, Director, and Co-owner of Inzone Industry Holdings limited, the vertically integrated business behind the leading insulation manufacturer Mammoth and Brightr – supply and install of insulation and energy efficiency solutions.  An executive leader and Chartered Accountant (ACA), Katy oversees a nationwide team dedicated to enhancing the energy efficiency, sustainability, and health of NZ homes. 

Navigating today’s complex building and manufacturing landscape, Katy is deeply committed to advancing industry standards and protecting NZ manufacturing, along with making warmer and healthier homes for NZ families possible, especially in these critical times.

Rob Croot | General Manager of PIL Group Ltd/Premier Insulation

Rob is the CEO of PIL Group Ltd/Premier Insulation and has been in senior leadership roles in the insulation industry for more than 20 years. He has represented IAONZ and membership previously, and is proud to have been a founding member of the Association.

His experience spans manufacturing, import/distribution, and installation across EECA, retro-fit, new build, and commercial sectors.

It’s a critical time for the EECA WKH programme and our industry, and he is keen to do his part to provide a strong voice and sound leadership.

James Gallagher | General Manager of Terra Lana / Energy Smart

James has spent the past 15 years as General Manager of EnergySmart and Terra Lana, gaining experience across insulation manufacturing, product development, and both newbuild and retrofit insulation.  With a Physics degree and a strong understanding of industry standards, technical compliance, and building performance, he brings both technical and commercial experience to the committee.

James will work to strengthen our industry by supporting healthy competition, sustainable profitability, and consistently high standards.  He believes businesses that invest in quality, compliance, and customer service should be able to compete on a level playing field.  He strongly opposse unsafe, non-compliant, or dishonest practices and is committed to promoting an industry built on integrity, professionalism, fairness, and continuous improvement.
